Shrink

I wanted to explore the ideas of the theme of shrink. This led me to making 3 short animations. I experimented by trying different animation styles to respond to the topic.

The animation of the world and then shrinking down to Liverpool Cathedral was created by printing out every frame and using sandpaper to add a texture effect. Each frame was then scanned back in to make a video. I then added music to add to the effect that you are getting smaller.
The man eating an apple is created by using a micro lens on around an apple. This led to interesting textures. To add to the abstraction, I added bright surreal colours. Additionally added music, ‘this thing of ours’ by Jeshi.

I searched online the times the word shrink would appear up; I took a photographed of every time I came across it in an article or website. I then lined up every photograph to make an animation. I wanted to experiment with typography with this animation.
